Suffolk University's President Sargent is officially the highest paid college president at a 2.8 million dollar compensation. President Sargent has kept his job at Suffolk for 52 years, he has been president since 1989. Within this time Sargent has never taken a sabbatical and donated close to one million dollars to student funds from his personal savings.
Being a student at Suffolk can sometimes be a pain in the ass, no campus, crappy dining hall food and so on and so forth. Before President Sargent there was much more to complain about, Suffolk was known as a commuter school that offered no graduate degrees or overseas studies. Within President Sargent's time we have seen a brand new law school built, several graduate and study-abroad programs offered, and three dormitories built with more on the way. The compensation of 2.8 million dollars is nothing compared to what the school has gained from this man's plan for success. I believe every Suffolk student should realize we wouldn't be attending the same school we do today with out this mans fierce leadership and motivation. Hats off to our ever loyal President Sargent!
